K and T start the road trip stopping off in Bloomington, IN; St. Louis, MO; Colorado Springs, CO; and Jackson, WY before picking up friends.
Our first stop, The Grand Tetons! Here is our camp set up for a couple of nights while we acclimate to the altitude.
The actual hiking portion in Grand Tetons. We do the Death Canyon hike to Phelps Lake Overlook and make stops at Signal Mountain.
The gang goes to Yellowstone to see a plethora of wildlife and geysers.
Not shown: a chase scene involving a black wolf going after a baby elk only to be chased back by the mother.
The first part of our Glacier National Park journey starts off at Grinnell Glacier and takes us along Going to The Sun Road which fortunately just opened two days prior to our arrival.
A combination of horseback riding near McDonald Lake and playing in the snow by Hidden Lake near Logan Pass!
On the way from Glacier to Kootenay and Banff we stopped off for a quick dip in the extremely hot Lussier Spring which flows into a very chilly river.
A quick trip to the crowded portion of Lake Louise as we hiked to the Tea House and view some glaciers.
More adventures with just K and T as we hiked several mountains in the Banff area including Mount Rundle.
A quick trek in Yoho before we prepared ourselves for white water rafting along the Kicking Horse River.
The Kicking Horse River is world renowned for its excellent class 3 and 4 rapids. K and T braved the refreshing temperature of the water and survived to tell the tale.
We had a lot of time to explore Jasper despite the rainy mornings. It was a great way to celebrate the Independence Day while in the far-off country of Canada!
